Evangelism at St. Mary Magdalene

Sharing the good news of Christ's resurrection means reaching out to the community.

We do that in many ways. The knitting guild creates sweaters and prayer shawls as gifts to those in need of healing and comfort. With the St. Mary Magdalene Youth Group, our knitters also create warm hats, scarves and mittens for distribution to the homeless each Christmas. Regular deliveries of food are made to a local food pantry.

Through a local school district, St. Mary Magdalene provides gifts to poor families during the Christmas season, and backpacks filled with back-to-school supplies for students in need. This December our youth choir took their Christmas pageant to a local nursing home.

Our most recent reaching out to the world was a trip to New Orleans to help with the ongoing cleanup of the disaster left by hurricane Katrina.
